VisionWare plc delivers Enterprise-Wide Trusted Data Integration for Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004. VisionWare is a member of Microsoft BizTalk Server Partner Program
|
Initially, the LGCSB want to implement a pilot project on their internal systems as a “proof of concept” before delivering MultiVue and BizTalk Server 2004 as part of a wider strategy to integrate disparate stores to produce a
single view of duplicate data.
The proof of concept project is based upon an employee portal scenario that allows employee specific information to be viewed, created and updated. This will empower employees to view and change data through a single user interface. The data will subsequently be synchronized across all the business applications to reflect the
most up to date and accurate information available.
VisionWare will implement MultiVue and Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004 to deliver the “Proof of Concept”
VisionWare’s MultiVue augments the integration capabilities of BizTalk Server by providing data integration. Using MultiVue, a client specifies rules to match information across multiple datasets, allowing a single view of that data to be obtained. To achieve this, MultiVue is populated with a sub-set of demographics information from the systems being integrated. To maintain the information within MultiVue, BizTalk Server is used. The BizTalk Adapter framework allows data to be retrieved from the systems being integrated. BizTalk’s workflow capabilities are used to apply business rules to the source data and the resulting XML data is passed to MultiVue. All key events within MultiVue are published to a local transactional MSMQ, in XML format, providing a seamlessly integrated yet loosely coupled solution with BizTalk server. MultiVue coupled with BizTalk Server provides a solid foundation for organisations to move towards a Service Oriented Architecture for the deployment of business functions. The MultiVue repository is based on SQL Server 2000 with all the business logic developed using C# and the .Net framework. The interface layer has been developed using ASP.Net (and C#) and deployed using Microsoft’s Digital Dashboard portal technology.
